Abstract (EN)

As the world continues to grow and develop at an unpredictable pace in every field, the number of problems facing and which need to be solved is increasing. Social entrepreneurship is one of the newest and strongest actors in the process of creating social transformations by recognizing these problems and developing solutions and / or solution clusters for the problem. In Turkey, there is a limited number of publications, academic paper and researches on the concept of social entrepreneurship. This thesis carried out on university students who have taken entrepreneurship courses within the scope of knowledge and awareness of social entrepreneurship and social entrpreneur. This study is important in terms of contributing to future research, academia and practices of social entrepreneurship. This study aims to contribute to the literature and social entrepreneurship practices by revealing their perceptions about social entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship on the basis of awareness and awareness of the concept of social entrepreneurship. The aim of this study is to determine the level of knowledge and awareness of social entrepreneurship and social entrepreneur. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used together in this research. The quantitative data were collected through 374 questionnaires and qualitative data were collected through a focus group interview. Descriptive analysis technique was used for the analysis of the qualitative data and SPSS 22.0, reliability, normality, Anova and T-test were used for quantitative data. The result of this research it was found that the level of knowledge and awareness towards social entrepreneurship and social entrepreneur were at low levels.
