The concept of occupational disease in terms of Social Security and Occupational Health and Safety Law

Occupational diseases have arisen with the settlement of people and the creation of various professions and have increased greatly with the post-Industrial Revolution process. Although the types of occupational diseases have changed since the past, the fatal consequences of these diseases have still not been eliminated. Today, occupational diseases cause 2.78 million deaths every year worldwide. The invisibility and destructiveness of occupational disease constitutes the aim of this study. In particular, the problem of inability to detect and prevent diseases is one of the starting points of the study. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the situation related to occupational diseases in the context of detection and prevention of the diseases and responsibility of the employer.
