Abstract (EN)
In this study, the attitudes of social work undergraduate students towards mental illness were examined. The study group of the research consists of 174 (131 female/43 male) undergraduate students studying at the Social Work Department of Gümüşhane University. In the study, data were collected using the sociodemographic information form developed by the researcher and the scale of attitudes towards mental illness. Data collection tools were made by the researcher both in printed forms and online. One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and t test were used to evaluate the data. Attitudes; gender, age, maternal and paternal general information, mental illness history, and independent living subscales were evaluated according to the presence of mental illness. In line with the information obtained as a result of the research, evaluations were made about the attitudes of social work undergraduate students.
