Abstract (EN)

In this study, the mediating effect of general self efficacy in the relationship between self esteem and unemployment anxiety was examined. The working group of the research consists of 209 undergraduate (woman=160, man=49) who study at Gumushane University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Social Work. As a data collection tool in research, unemployment anxiety scale, Rosenberg self esteem scale, general self efficacy scale and demographical information form were used. Data collection tools were applied both printed and online by the researcher. In the analysis of the data; t test, correlation analysis, one-way variance analysis (ANOVA), Levene F test, Scheffe Post-hoc test were used. At the end of the research, the relationship between self esteem and unemployment anxiety was negative and low. The relationship between self esteem and general self efficacy is medium and positive. The relationship between unemployment anxiety and general self efficacy was negative and low. The full mediating role of general self efficacy was revealed in the relationship between unemployment anxiety and self esteem. In the research also, significant differences were determined in terms of demographical variants.
