Özet (EN)
Human values and dignity originate from their own existence. Societies of different colors form a mosaic of culture within themselves. If this culture mosaic is known by every occupation and profession member who claims to serve in the social work it would make a strong contribution to the value and honor of humanity. Professions such as social work are social professions which are put forward in the name of service to human and emphasize the uniqueness of a human. But does this mean that the profession is social if it has a title "social"? Social depends on the ability to touch the lives of the human / client in accordance with the values and dignity of the human being based on social realities. Being social depends on the ability to touch the lives of the human / client in accordance with the values and dignity of the human being based on social realities. In order to touch lives, it is necessary to read the social context of life. It is unthinkable for the social work profession to stay away from this reality as a human-oriented profession and to ignore the differences. Differences are the most prominent characteristics of today's multicultural societies. In this sense, the aim of the research is to determine the relationship between multiculturalism and the social work discipline, which is considered to be a human rights profession in a universal character; the aim of this study is to reveal the necessity of multicultural social work in terms of knowledge and application. Thus, it contributes to the development of the multicultural social work paradigm, regardless of language, religion, race, sect and culture. The research was conducted with discourse analysis method. In other words, literature studies in the field of multiculturalism and social work have been examined in context of discourse analysis and the level of relationship has been revealed. In the first part of the study, a conceptual framework is formed through multiculturalism, related concepts and definitions. In the second part, the theoretical discussion of social work was conducted through nine thematic titles created by the researcher from the perspective of multiculturalism. In the third chapter, the value, knowledge and skill dimensions of social work practice are discussed from the multicultural social work perspective. This chapter also discusses the critical point of view of multiculturalism in social work organizations, legislation, social work management, welfare regimes and social policies. Discussions were supported by case examples. In the research the general hypothesis that "The prerequisite for social work practices to be presented on a human basis regardless of language, religion, race, sect or culture is the multiculturalist social work approach in terms of value, knowledge and skill in the context of human rights" has been confirmed. The results of the study may also include the need to read multiculturalism from a local perspective.
