Social media addiction and personal relationship: An application through social media

As a result of technological developments in the communication field, the new social media communication tool for individuals to express themselves, to communicate, to receive acclaim, since the medium has been widely used nowadays to enable voice requests. Therefore, at this point, addiction is seen as a result of intensive social media use, taking into account all the possibilities. Media, which is considered as something to be reviewed today, evaluates it as a modern problem. Social media consist of people who are transforming the daily routines of users into good quality products.Based on this point, the study was conducted to determine the relationship between social media addiction and personality. Social media, addiction, personality concepts are examined. In order to measure the relationship between social media addiction and personality, a survey study was conducted with 509 people using a simple random sample using the survey method with the help of a scale commonly used in the literature. The collected data was analyzed with the help of the statistical package program. As a result of the results obtained, a statistically significant relationship between social media addiction and personality was found, and the hypothesis created in this direction was confirmed. In the literature, due to the lack of study on the relationship between social media addiction and personality, the relevant findings of this study which investigated the relationship between the variables has an original design and developed in the light of new studies and will contribute to the solution of the proposal, it is hoped that the academic environment.
