Applications of the General Directorate of Migration Management towards Syrian migrants in the context of social policy

In this thesis ,the activities and results of the General Directorate of Migration Management, later renamed the Directorate of Migration, regards the solution of the problems faced by Syrian immigrants under temporary protection in our country and which fall into the field of social policy,are examined. Immigration, which has had great effects on societies and states in terms of economic, social, cultural, political and demographic aspects, continues to be one of the most important issues of the whole World to day as it was in the past Türkiye is a country that has always lived together with the phenomenon of migration and immigrants and has a very high migration exprience, due to its geographical and strategic location, as it is a country that both receives and sends immigrants and is a transit country on themigration routes. With the effect of the Arab Spring, the internal turmoil that started in our neighbor Syria quickly turned into a major civil war, and Türkiye, which became the target of an unprecedented migration flow in the History of World Migration, has taken refuge in our country as a result of the ope door policy it has implemented with a humanitarian approach As a naturel consequence of the Migration Events, Syrian immigrants have encountered some problems that are in the field of social policy in our country In order to manage this great immigrations case, Türkiye has put into effect the law on international protection of foreigners and the general directorate of migration management established in accordance with this law, with the legal, administrative and institutional arrangements it has made, take into account the international migration legislation and country conditions General Directorate of Migration Management has carried out important activities in solving the problems of Syrians Migrants in cooperation with many national and international institutions and organizations
