Abstract (EN)

Responsibilities of consumers have increased because of the impact of outputs produced by consumption on the world. Changing and varying consumer behaviours have negative effects on society. In this thesis, which examines socially responsible consumer behaviour, the subject is explained with its related concepts in the first section. In the second section, differences in the levels of social responsibility of consumers according to demographic and socio-economic features is examined. In the study, an online questionnaire was carried out on consumers. Levels of socially responsible consumer behaviour of consumers who live in Turkey are studied in terms of 4 factors. These factors are (1) "Environmental Impact in Purchase and Use", (2) "CSR Performance", (3) "Consumer Recycling Behaviour" and (4) "Traditional Purchase Criteria". Moreover, it is found out with one-way MANOVA that levels of social responsibility of consumers differ with regard to their age, gender, educational background, ownership of a vehicle, and geographical region where the city they live is located.
