Abstract (EN)

Consumption, is primarily intended to meet physiological needs or in other words to survive, in today's society, the diversity of needs and consumption options have also diversified. With the globalization, the consumption habits of the societies are changing and with the branding, a consumption phenomenon that covers the whole world is formed. In this context, the aim of the thesis is to investigate the effects of socio-demographic characteristics on customer loyalty and consumer buying behaviors. For this purpose, in the research study on organic food products, the effects of socio-demographic characteristics on customer loyalty and purchasing process of organic food consumers were evaluated. In this study, in order to determine the tendency of consumers to use organic food products, a face-to-face survey was conducted with 317 participants where 97 males and 220 females aged 18-65, who are shopping in the organic markets established in Kadıköy, Maltepe and Şişli districts of Istanbul in May-June 2019 and agreed to participate in our survey. In the light of the data obtained from the survey, the effect of socio-demographic characteristics on customer loyalty and purchasing behavior was evaluated. As a result; organic food buying behaviors and customer loyalty were found to be correlated and socio-demographic characteristics had a significant effect on consumers' buying behaviors and customer loyalty. As a result; have been observed the relationship between organic food buying behaviors and customer loyalty and socio-demographic characteristics had a significant effect on consumers' buying behaviors and customer loyalty.
