Abstract (EN)

In this study, socio-political domains of Islamic Community Milli Görüş (ICMG-IGMG) organization and their levels are examined within the field study conducted in Germany. The state of being defined as Europe's largest civil Islamic organization with its member potential, IGMG, which is established and institutionalized as a result of labor migration from Turkey to Germany, constitute the starting point for this research. In this sense, the examination of IGMG's impact level on the Muslim population of Germany, the vast majority of which is of Turkish origin, increases interest in this research. In this context, in the second chapter of the research, initially, the immigration phenomenon, which has an impact on the establishment of the IGMG, is discussed while international migration theories and the changes and transformations they caused are mentioned in that scope. The concepts of assimilation, integration and multiculturalism are examined theoretically in the context of immigration policies implemented by immigration countries. Chapter Three subjects the immigration process from Turkey to Germany and the socio-political effects of this process. In this sense, problem areas like citizenship policies, alignment policies, religion-state relations and the lack of political participation are taken into consideration. In the Fourth Chapter of the study, the establishment and development process of the IGMG is described. The process, which is split up a triple classification as Germany Turkish Union, European Milli Görüş Organization and Islamic Community Milli Görüş, is evaluated under the headings of areas of activity, influence and areas of influence, challenges and opportunities. The Fifth Part consists of testing hypotheses using the information obtained from the field research conducted in Germany on IGMG members. In this context, the limited influence of IGMG membership on its members' political preferences, the presence of symmetrical relationship between IGMG membership and compliance with Germany, and the positive impact on its members' protection of Muslim-Turkish identity are tried to be put forward by testing. Key Words: Immigration, International Immigration, Participation, Assimilation, Alignment, Milli Görüş, Islamic Community Milli Görüş (ICMG)
