Özet (EN)
In this thesis, the position of the Iraqi family structure, the sociocultural changes in the social structure are considered in a historical context. Previous research on the subject has been compiled and the impact of changes in the sociocultural structure on the family has been tried to be determined. In the studies published in the literature, it has been determined that migration, urbanization, media, modern individualistic lifestyle, consumer society and globalization are the most important factors affecting change. In particular, social media and other communication tools have been found to be extremely effective in changing culture and behavior in Iraq. As a result, changes have occurred in the interaction and communication forms of the Iraqi family structure. It has been shown by the studies that this situation negatively affects the family, which is the most basic building block of society. However, it has also been concluded that there is no significant attempt yet to prevent the impact of these negative changes.
