Contracted teachers 'experiences and views on contracted teaching practice

The aim of this study is to determine the experiences and views of contracted teachers about contracted teaching practice. In order to realize this aim, phenomenology pattern which is one of the qualitative research methods was used. Purposeful sampling was used to determine the study group. The population of the research consists of contracted teachers working in Hilvan district of Şanlıurfa province and 37 contracted teachers from each level in the district center are study group. According to the results of the research, contracted teachers evaluate the contracted teaching practice negatively, criticize the oral examination method used in the selection of contracted teachers and propose alternative methods, want to benefit from the rights of permanent teachers and think that justice can only be achieved by abolishing the practice. It may be possible to revise the personal rights of contracted teachers and to implement the elements that encourage teachers to work for a long time in priority regions in development.
