The effect of motivation factors on the performance of contracted dormitory management personnel: Example of state student dormitories in Giresun

The concept of performance is generally defined as the level of execution of a planned job and the behavior of the employee.Today, issues such as motivating the employees, fulfilling their task responsibilities, comparing the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization, measuring the results of the organization as a whole have become very important for organizations to achieve their goals.Motivation has an important place on employee behavior within the organization as a factor that influences and directs the behaviors of individuals who play an active role in an organization. This is very important for organizations as the behaviors of working individuals develop depending on motivation. The factors that the working people are motivated to and the degree of impact can vary from person to person.The way that the organizational goals are adopted by the staff and the employees show their performance towards the goals of the organizations is through motivating the employees. There are various motivation factors that affect the performance of the employees and different reflections of these factors can be observed on the performance of the employees.In this study, the effects of motivation factors on the performance of contracted dormitory management personnel working in state student dormitories in Giresun Center were examined. In addition, semi-structured interview method was used in this study. Based on the responses given by the contracted dormitory management staff, it was concluded that motivation factors had an effect that would increase the overall working performance of the contracted dormitory management staff.
