Developed theories and methods to understand and explain the folk tales follows a progress from text to expression milieu. With adoptation of folklore as ?communicational process?, outputs, nowadays, in folkloric researches has became important as much as the context of the output.This thesis is about folk tales in Kastamonu in which milieu they are generated and exploited. Changes in expression milieu effects folk tales. İn this context, aim of this thesis is to determine the changes and transformations in milieus of expressions, to interrogate the existance of folktales with analyzing changes from oral to written; from written to electronical culture milieus in folk tales.The expression milieu of folk tales in context of Kastamonu, limited with osmosis process from oral to written, from written to electrical culture milieu, this thesis possesses a point of view concenrated on Performance teori.Folktales as ?Oral culture milieu of folktales in Kastamonu? are generated, reported, exploited in traditional locations as coffee houses, public houses, chambers, public baths, fairs and bazaars, mansion hauses, hauses and other locations. İnducements such as easement of access in these locations, agricultural activities which becomes mechanized, urbanization, cohabitation of women and men due to modernity of Republical life style, developments in communication Technologies coused changes and transformations.New shaped cultural milieus are determined as; ?Written Culture Milieu? and ?Electronical Culture Milieu?. Electronical Culture Milieu undertakes the effects of radio, television and internet on context of expressions.İt has been seen that transformation of folk tales from one generation to another had been changed by written and electronical culture milieus and determined that young generation generates, exploits, transforms, perpetuates these milieus in Kastamonu.The result that had been accessed in this thesis is: oral culture milieus continiues to change and transform. On the other hand, new written and electronical contexts occurs. Folk tales has not been dissappeared from cultural heritage and memory of human being. They stil do exist in traditional and new milieus with changes and mutations and continiue to be generated, to span and live.
