Abstract (EN)
In this thesis pure ZnO thin films are produced using spin coater on different substrate and annealed at different temperatures. The films? mechanial and optical properties have been investigated with respect to annealing temperatures. In the first chapter we have briefly introduced the crystal and amorphous structures. Chapter two is devoted to the methods that are being used in the production of the thin film industry. In the chapter three we have briefly summarised the literature about the ZnO thin films till year 2010. We have given the results related to the samples which are coated with the ZnO on microscope glasses and annealed up to 850 oC. XRD, SEM and UV-vis spectra of these samples are also intoduced in this chapter. In the chapter four we have given the experimental results related to the crystal substrate of quartz. XRD, SEM and UV-Vis spectra for the ZnO are introduced and evaluated. A brief future work is also included at the end of this chapter.
