Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to investigate the state of knowledge maintenance burden and care of caregivers family members who with spinal cord injuries individuals. The study was practised between December 2012-February 2015 in Neurosurgery clinic at Firat University Hospital . The research population consisted of individuals caring for patients with spinal cord injury in Neurosurgery clinic . The research sample is consisted of 93 family members who could comminicated, consecutive and older eighteen years. Patient information form, caregiving family members information form, caregiving family members information form about caregiving were collected and Zarit Care Burden Scale was used to query participants. The average score of family caregivers compared to descriptive characteristics of patients and age and income statistically different were found between the groups. Also age and duration caregiving caregivers were compared and average scale scores statistically significant difference were found between the groups. The average scores of family members ZBVYÖ were found as 22.76 ± 11.6. Keywords: Spinal Cord, Family Members, Patient's care, Burden of Caregivers
