Abstract (EN)

Due to vertebral colon is a target for especially degenerative disease related with age and lots of systemic pathologies, spinal MRI is majority part of MRI workup that is done. Latest technologic product software and hardwares related with digital radiographies provide a lot of contribution about evaluation in diagnosis and etiology. In this study, MRI and digital rontgenograms' diagnostic and etiologic efficacity in spinal pathologies were researched and clinical findings were corelated with statistics and efficacity and contribution of cilinical symptoms during diagnostic period were resaerched. Our aim is to reduce unnecessary workup; save time, avoid inappropiate diagnostic and medical procedures. X-ray graphy, MRI and cilinical data that belong to 308 patients who have degenerative, infectious-inflamatory and spinal colon disease were researched and compared each other about success in diagnostic supplementation. Also, in 166 cases, X-ray graphy and MRI were compared about detection of some radiologic findings that is seen in degenerative diseases. In this study, it is clear that diagnostic algorhtym must be follow step by step. Because of low dose using, high scala resolution and using-reaching facilitation, direct X-ray graphy is first option in diagnostic duration. In spinal pathologies; when differantial diagnosis is a trouble, early stages inflammatory and degenerative diseases, direct X-ray graphy is not enough for diagnosis or new presentation in already known disease, using MRI is more rationalistic.
