Özet (EN)

This assertion evaluates happiness as a very quintessential concept that Spinoza philosophy hopes to reach out, in the contex of the philosopher's views of metaphysics and epistemology. In order to demonstrate this, in the first chapter, it will be discussed how Spinoza passes over from the Substance-based understanding of being into the singularity. In the second chapter, the position of man as one of the singular form of Nature itself in Spinoza's approach will be unfolded and also will be emphasized that his virtues and fundamental differences over another singular beings by the axis of mind-body, actual essence, actions and passions concepts. Eventually in the third chapter, possibilities regarding human freedom and happiness will be inquired within the scope of Spinoza's ethical project. Thus, an understanding of why he is an ethical philosopher will be tried to get a grasping through the wholistic views of the philosopher.
