The possibility of artificial intelligence in the context of Spinoza ontology

In recent years, the human and his mind problem, which has been at the focal point of the highly prominent artificial intelligence studies, is among the issues that should be discussed philosophically. In this respect, what human is and his mentality, which is the most important feature of man, are examined in terms of philosophy of mind. The ontological position of the mind indicates the possibility or impossibility of the artificial mind. The main point of artificial intelligence studies focuses more on the artificial mind than producing computer-aided machines that act like humans. In this regard, artificial intelligence studies aim to perform the metacognitive processes of humans by machines. Therefore, situations such as understanding, interpretation and evaluation, which are the metacognitive processes of human, should be explained in the natural process and the possibility of its artificial state should be questioned. In our study, the possibility of the artificial mind is questioned based on Spinoza's thoughts about the mind, who does not separate the mind from the body as ontological status. As there is a determinism in nature, the existing ones necessarily occurs. Because, according to Spinoza, the essence of God is his existence. It will be expressed that all beings consisting of appearances of God or the Nature are subject to this necessity, and the necessity and morality of people's actions will be evaluated also. In this regard, the moral status of artificial intelligence in its actions with the same necessity will be discussed. In addition to this, it will be explained that Spinoza's philosophy computer-aided artificial intelligence can be evaluated as a modus, which treats human as a modus, and this artificial intelligence cannot be positioned ontologically lower than human. However, it will be stated that human emotional states can also be in a robot, but these emotional states are not complementary to the rational existence of human beings. However, it will be explained that the ontological position of artificial intelligence will reveal a universe with uncertain ontological boundaries.
