Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is; the ımpact of the mental resıstance levels of handball players studying at the sports science faculty on the problem-solvıng skıll. A total of 233 handball players (X age = 24.93 ± 3.41), 74 women and 159 men, voluntarily took part in this study. In this study, the researcher used a personal information form that consisted of the inventory of mental resilience in sports, the inventory for problem solving, and six questions (gender, age, department, grade level, residential area, age of sport). Depending on the normal distribution of the data, demographic information about the study group, Mann Whitney U test, ANOVA analysis, Kruskal Wallis H test, and correlation analysis were used. The level of statistical significance was accepted as p <0.05 in all ratings. The statistics program SPSS 24.0 was used for data analysis. The moderator of the study observed that there was a statistically moderate and positively significant difference between the mental endurance and the problem-solving level of the athletes. In addition, it was observed that there was a significant difference in the mental endurance of handball players in province and the metropolitan according to the variables of residence and grade level.
