Effects of some physical fitness variables on dart performance of dart players in sports education

Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to effects of some physical fitness variables on dart performance of dart players in sports education. A total of 15 volunteer dart players from Bartın University participated in this study voluntarily. Subjects' some physical fitness, psychological variables and dart performance were determined. Results indicated that dart players have normal body fat percentage, anaerobic performance, balance, strength, dart performance and endomorphy-mesomorphy properties. Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to the relationships between dart performance and some physical fitness variables. Results indicated significant negative correlations between dart performance and some physical fitness variables and negative correlation between dart performance and morphological variables. As a conclusion, the findings of the present study indicated that some physical fitness variables play a determinant role in dart performance and some physical fitness variables was found to be an important factor in dart performance of young male athletes in school of physical education and sports.
