Sports federations concerning the implementability of total quality management.

The aim of this study is identifying the opinions of the managers (president of the Federation, member of the board, deputy chief, General Secretary of the Federation and chief) of the autonomious Sports Federations concerning the implementability of Total Quality ManagementWith this aim; the relavant literature was consulted and the information found was considered to inform the current research. In the scope of the research, a questionnaire has been administered to the sports managers who are working for sports federations and a solutuion of the problems investigated with this research have been examined in terms of the findings of the questionnairesThe managers working for the 57 Sports Fedeartion under the Youth and Sports General Directorate as a voluntary and full time form the population of the research. 168 sports managers selected randomly out of the 859 managers working for autonomious Sports Federations make up the sample of the resarchThe data of the questionnaires was processed by use of a computer. During the analysis of the data from the questionnaires, the opinions of the statistics experts have been taken. The frequency and percentage spreads have been found and t-test and anova tests have been used to evaluate the opinions of the sports managers and scored according to the five score Likert scale. The data of the questionnaires were evaluated using the SPSS 10.0 statistics programmeIn conclusion, it was seen that some problems were due to the strict, hierarchical and bureaucratic structure of the sports administration that is a part of the state structure was exist. On this account sport federations is a part of sport management has same problems. Besides existent autominous sport federations statute didn? t serve that aims.
