Sports, which does not have a definition other than just a game and was claimed as a way of staying clear from the stressful business life in the beginning, has developed a new perspective in time, throughout its economical, political, judicial and international goodwill aspects. Nowadays, it has happened to be one of the greatest sectors, becoming a must-have activity in daily life.In order to make sports rules operate in a non-problematic way, the rules that are constructed before should be followed and an effective, fast and a just way of solutions to the disputes on sports should be provided. In this way, a juridical discipline adopts the term ?sports law? that provides solutions that are formed as distinctive rules for the disputes which might arise between the subjects of sports (which are sportsmen, coaches, sport clubs, companies, federations, sponsors, foundations of sports and the states) investigates this juridical arrangement in a systematic way and organizes the relations between the subjects of sports has been generated. Hence, the themes that include the identification of these disputes, the methods applied to sort out the disputes as well as their applications in our country and in the international area are in the scope of investigation area of law.On the other hand, fast and inexpensive solutions that are harmonious with the spirit of sports should be introduced in a connective way, for the disputes in sports, which are greatly mounted in our days. Therefore, international federations of sports have seen a requirement to construct an independent court of arbitration for sports. This requirement was satisfied with the Court of Arbitration for Sports -CAS- that is the highest level of jurisdiction member, constructed by the International Olympic Committee with the support of Olympic movement. Hence CAS take it?s place as an authority for remedy outside the courts, in order to adjudicate the disputes in the law of sports, which is a unique area of specialty.
