Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to compare the emotional abuse and self-perceptions of sports high school students and other high school students. The population of the research consists of sports high school students studying in Batman province in the 2023-2024 academic year. The sample of the research consists of a total of 179 students who participated in the research voluntarily. "Personal Information Form" was used to collect data on the demographic characteristics of the students. "Multifaceted Leadership Orientation Scale" and "Buss Perry Aggression Scale" were used to collect students' data on Leadership and Aggression. After the surveys were administered, the SPSS 22.0 software package was used to facilitate statistical analysis. Various statistical techniques such as frequency analysis, percentage analysis, arithmetic mean, independent variable test, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and post hoc test were used to analyze the data. In this research, it was examined whether the multifaceted leadership management scale and Buss-Perry aggression scale sub-dimensions of sports high school students differ according to various demographic and sports variables. As a result of the analyses, no significant difference was detected in both the multifaceted leadership scale and the Buss-Perry aggression scale sub-dimensions in terms of variables such as gender, age, class, sports branch, sports age, receiving help from a sports expert and whether or not playing in a team. Particularly, according to the Pearson correlation analysis results, negative significant relationships were found between the multifaceted leadership scale sub-dimensions and the aggression scale sub-dimensions. Negatively significant relationships were determined between the political leadership and human-based leadership sub-dimensions and the physical attack, anger, hostility and verbal attack sub-dimensions. Additionally, while there were negative significant relationships between the charismatic leadership sub-dimension and physical attack and verbal attack, no significant relationship was found in the anger and hostility sub-dimensions. While there was a negative significant relationship between the clingy leadership sub-dimension and physical attack, no significant relationship was found in the anger, hostility and verbal attack sub-dimensions.
