Assessment of electronical trade applications in the enterprises which sell sports equipments ?Kocaeli province as sample?

In this research which is made to put forth the current condition in the enterprises which sell sports equipments, I have tried to set out the features of the enterprises that are subject to this research, the electronic applications of these enterprises through Internet, and the opinions of the enterprise managers on electronic commerce applications, taking Kocaeli as a sample. Both quantitative and qualitative research methods are employed in this research. The scanning model was used at the quantitative part of this research to determine the features of the enterprises, their electronic commerce applications and technologies, and their sales on internet; and the interview method was used to get the opinions of the enterprise managers on elecetronic commerce applications. The research shows that almost all the examined enterprises use the computer Technologies and they approve the advantages of the electronic commerce such as supplying data, enabling competetion and speed. Enterprises managers stated that electronic commerce is a fast developing field. However, the sport enterprises, as other enterprises, also have a concern regarding the security which is one of the factors that obstruct electronic commerce. The security issue is one of the leading factors causing the sport enterprises to avoid to apply electronic commerce. The sport enterprises who use electronic commerce and who plan to use it are aware of the interest on sport in Internet and they put the electronic commerce applications into use in their enterprises for competetion by benefiting from all the conveniences of the electronic commerce.
