Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the status of fitness exercises by examining the knowledge level of male individuals who do fitness exercises in gyms, their use of doping and food supplement products, and whether they receive professional support. The study is in the general survey model and shows a cross-sectional feature. In this context, a total of 400 volunteer male individuals who actively benefited from 17 fitness centers in the city center of Batman province between the years 2021-2022 and were selected randomly were included. The survey metod was used as a data collection tool in the study. The licensed statistical package program IBM SPSS 22.0 was used in the analysis of the data and values for frequency, percent (%), mean and standard deviation were used in the interpretation of the data. In addition, the chi-square test was applied to determine the correlation between the independent variables, and the level of statistical significance was accepted as p<0.05. As a result of the analysis, 23.5% (94 people) of the 400 people surveyed consulted health professionals on doping or the use of food supplements, 18% (72 people) partially consulted, 39% (156 people) did not consult, the remaining 19.5% (78 people) took neither doping nor food supplements. Parallel to this, about doping on the part of the participants; It was observed that 27.5% (110 people) had knowledge, 37% (148 people) had partial knowledge and 35.5% (142 people) had no knowledge. In dietary supplements; It showed that 41.5% (166 people) had knowledge, 41% (164 people) had partial knowledge and 17.5% (70 people) had no knowledge.
