The dictionary of sport terms

A term means special and definite conception related to a certain art or profession.The sport terms can be evaluated with this explanation.It needs the sport terms to base on the scientific basics of the sport.Nowadays the sport has become indispensible fact of human life.It needs to be known the sport terms correctly for conscious sport culture.The term information is necessary both to practice in act and to follow the sport.It is taken into consideration these aims in this study.Besides,it is tried to be formed a current and correct information source.It is taken into account the diztionary rules in the study.It is basicly evaluated the olympic sport branches in the study.The terms are separated according to the branches.The meanings of a term in different branches are explained one by one.The common terms in all of the branches are collected under the headline of `general sport terms?.On the other hand;it is also included the biological sport terms.It is added the branches which aren?t olympic and protect its currency like Spa,Formula 1 and billiards.It is Prefered the Turkish terms about the origion,if there is.Despite the fact that Turkish term number is high in the branches which have a traditional characteristic.Some of the vocabularies have also meaning differences which emerge from the use of the terms.In this view;a)Which degree have the sport terms changed from the dictionary meaning?b)What is the capacity of Turkish to be enough fort he current sport terms?İt is aimed to answer these questions.As a conclusion;it is observed the existance of stable and restricted term in some sport branches.However,it is determined the continuous and dynamic of the production of new terms in some of the them.The sport terms are unseparatable part of a conscious sport culture.Turkish attracts attention as an important part.It can be said that the study is used as a source and practical usage.The key words: The sport terms,THe meaning difference of the terms in different branches,the terms in the origin of Turkish,general sport terms,biological sport terms.
