Investigation of the relationship between the quality of life and happiness levels of hearing ımpaired ındividuals doing sports and non-sports

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the quality of life and happiness levels of hearing impaired individuals who do sports and do not do sports, and to determine the status of life quality and happiness differentiation according to the demographic characteristics of the participants. In the research, relational and descriptive scanning model was used in accordance with the research objectives. The universe of the research is hearing-impaired individuals residing in Ankara and Sakarya. The sample of the study consists of 186 people selected from these participants by simple random sampling method. "Personal Information Form", "Oxford Happiness Scale Short Form (OMÖ-K)" "Quality of Life Scale Short Form (WHOQOL-BREF-TR): OLS was used as a data collection tool. The analysis of the data was transferred electronically in SPSS 22.0 package program. In descriptive data analysis, frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation analyzes were used. In the analysis of the data, t-Test for binary comparisons and One-Way Anova Test in multiple comparisons were used to examine the differences between variables. Pearson Correlation Test was applied to examine the relationships between variables. In addition, Tukey multiple comparison test was used. According to the findings of the research, it was found that the quality of life of the participants differed according to the variables such as marital status and sports. It was found that the level of happiness of the participants varied according to variables such as sports, education and income levels. As a result of the correlation analysis, a high and medium positive correlation was found between happiness and quality of life and its sub- dimensions. As a result, it was determined that the total score averages of happiness levels had a positive significant relationship on the quality of life and sub-dimensions of the participants, and the quality of life increased as the participants' happiness levels increased.
