Abstract (EN)
The focus of this study is to examine the factors associated with bullying and peer bullying, and their effects on the athlete identities of secondary school students who do and do not play sports, and peer bullying. While the universe of the study consists of secondary schools affiliated to Elazig national education, it is aimed to reach 427 students studying in Elazig National Education in the 2020-2021 education period. In the study, Athlete Identity Scale (SRS) and Bullying Tendency Scale (CIS) were used. Frequency, percentage and significance tables were created with the SPSS 22 analysis program of the survey data Mann whitney u-test was used for pairwise comparisons, and Kruskal Wallis analysis tables were used for more than two comparisons. Correlation relationship was used to find the effect of the two scales on each other. In the study, the athlete identity level scores of the students are lower than many other studies. It has been observed that as age and class increase, the identity of the athlete increases and the identity of the athlete is formed better. In terms of athlete identity, male students have higher scores; Students who do sports and team sports have higher scores. It has been seen that the students who have a sports license, kickboxing and football have higher SQ scores. It was seen that the students' BAI was higher than male students, 14-year-old students had a higher bullying tendency score, but 11- and 12-year-old students' non-disturbing tendency scores were higher in the dimension of Do Not Disturb. While the tendency to not be disturbed is seen at young ages, this tendency decreases in later ages. It has been observed that the students who are interested in football and tennis have a higher score than the students who do other branches. It is considered that the evaluation of the athletes who are not oriented towards sports training and who are empowered is higher. It is trained with the sports of Running, Kick boxing, Football, Tennis, it is thought that the score evaluated compared to other branches is higher. It has been achieved with an effect that reduces the peer bullying of the athlete's body by 19%. Keywords: Athlete identity, Bullying tendency, Bully, Bullying victim, Secondary school students
