Özet (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the psychological well-being profiles of university students who do sports and those who do not, in terms of some variables. Survey model was used in the research. The research group consists of a total of 381 students between the ages of 18-26, studying at state universities in Ankara, and determined through convenience sampling. In the research, the Turkish adapted form of the PERMA measurement tool developed by Seligman and the general information form were used in the collection of data. For the purposes of this research, the T-Test was used to determine the differences between demographic variables in the analysis of the data collected from the answers to the PERMA scale, and the Pearson Moment Multiplication Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationships and significance was tested at the 0.05 level. As a result; it was found out that doing sport has positive effects on psychological well-being. While it was observed that the psychological well-being of men was better than women according to the gender variable, it was concluded that there was no significant difference between the psychological well-being of men who do sports and those who do not. It was observed that the psychological well-being of women who do sports is higher than women who do not do sports. No significant difference was found according to the age variable. It was determined that the psychological well-being of students in Faculty of Sport Sciences is higher than students in other faculties.
