Determination of self-efficacy conditions of sport managers

The aim of the study is to examine efficiency and self- efficacy status in a comprehensive way by determining of sport managers. The efficiency and efficacy of the sport manager has been classified based on the Mintzberg's Managerial Roles.The research is performed via relational screening model, both qualitative and quantitative research model has used together. The universe of the research is; the public and sport managers in Turkey, the sampling group is; volunteer public sport managers (n=122) and sport club managers (n=123). "Sport Manager Self-Efficacy Scale" (SMSES) is used which is developed by the researcher. The sampling group is formed by the sport managers (n=292) that are chosen via simple random sampling method. For the analysis of the gathered data; content analysis method is used for the qualitative dimension, non-parametric Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests are used in order to determine the differences at sub dimensions of self-efficacy.In the result of the study is determined that the self-efficacy points of the sport managers are high at sub dimensions, the self-efficacy points relating to deciding are higher than the other sub dimensions, the self-efficacy points relating to interpersonal roles is lower and public sport managers points are higher than the sport club managers at all sub dimensions. The points of the sport managers that they got form the deciding on their working area, civil status, the time of doing license sport and sex are significantly differentiated in frame of the self-efficacy.
