The effect of sports participation on the digital addiction of university students

This research was conducted to determine the effect of participation in sports on the digital addiction of university students. The research was conducted according to the cross-sectional approach, which is one of the general screening models. The sample of this research also constitutes the study population of the research. 562 students attending the 2023-2024 academic year at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Gölköy Campus, selected by convenience sampling method, constitute the sample of the research. As a data collection tool in the research; The "Digital Addiction Scale" form developed by Ahmet KESİCİ and Nazenin Fidan TUNÇ for university students in 2018 was used. As a result of the research, it was determined that students' participation in sports had an impact on their digital addictions.
