Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the demographic characteristics of the sportsmen who perform individual sports in different branches effects on the servant leadership of the coaches and the national athletes sportsman satisfaction. The method of research is the survey method from descriptive research methods. The sample group of the study included 257 athletes including 141 men and 116 women in the Taekwondo, Judo and Wrestling branches participating in national team camps. Datas were collected with 'Personal Information Form' , 'Servant Leadership Scale' developed by Cerit (2005) and 'Sportsman Satisfaction Scale' developed by Türksoy (2008). Data were analyzed with ANOVA in multiple comparisons, independent sample t test . In exploring the effect of the participant's coaches servant leadership qualities on the athlete satisfaction of national athletes; when we examined from the perspective of variables such as gender, age, educational status, national athlete, current coach working time, sport branch variables: sport servitude, athlete satisfaction, individual satisfaction, team satisfaction and coach satisfaction were statistically significant by working time with coach and there is no difference with other variables. As a result of the research, the responses of the national athletes about the servant leadership characteristics and the athlete's satisfaction levels of the coaches are more positive than those of the non-national athletes and it has been seen that the athletes who work with their coaches for a long time have a positive attitude towards the servants' leadership and athlete satisfaction they perceive from their coaches.
