Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to have examine the relationship between aggression and rage behavior of irrational performance beliefs. It is on the point of being 93 men and 42 women 102 athletes interested in martial arts and 32 athletes interested in team sports participate the survey. The average age of the participant is 25,19±8,60. Personal informational form, irrational performance beliefs scale and aggression and rage in sport scale are used as a data collection tool. Personal information form include demographic information like gender, age and sport year. Kolmogorov – Smirnov test has been controlled to test the normal distribution of data and according to rate p<0.05 it is determined that the data isn't normal distribution. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test which are descriptive statistics and nonparametrik test are used with Spearman correlational analysis in data analysis. According to the results obtained, it is detected that aggression in sport and rage sub-dimension of rage scale is higher than aggression sub-dimension. In accordance with the analysis conducted demanding sub-dimension of irrational performance beliefs scale sub-dimansion has the highest average score. It is determined that the total score of irrational performance beliefs scale is rock-bottom. Considering correlational analysis it is determined the positively significant relation between demanding sub-dimension of irrational performance belief scales and aggression in sport sub-dimension. In research, it is seen that significant distinction in the total score of gender-related irrational beliefs scale and low-tolerance, catastrophising and floccipend sub-dimension. As for in the study conducted age and sport year, it is determined significant distinction between the catastpohising sub-dimension of irrational performance belief scale and the rage sub-dimension of aggression and rage scale. As a consequence, it is seen that the irrational performance beliefs of male athletes are higher than women. Besides this, it has occur the beginner athletes to sport has thinking to catastrophize the events that may probably and rage level are higher. It can be said that athletes have expectations from their valued people, peer, or teammates cause to exhibit bad behaviour more.
