Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to examine athletes' mental training skills, self-efficacy, struggle and concerns in sports, and to identify differences according to variables and make suggestions. Data were collected from a total of 301 participating athletes in the research. Data were collected with a data collection method that includes "Athletes' Mental Training Inventory", "Struggle and Anxiety Scale in Sports", "Athlete Self-Efficacy Scales" and "Demographic variables". Descriptive statistical analysis was used to analyze the data, and for evaluating the significance of differences between group means, "ANOVA" and "T-test" methods were employed. Correlation analysis was conducted to determine the significance of relationships between score means. The research group's score means and median values were calculated and examined as high and low categories. The scales used in assessing athletes' skills, self-efficacy, and struggles and concerns are of importance in contributing to the Turkish literature while also having some limitations. We can state that these scales serve as a useful measurement tool for athletes, managers, and coaches alike. It is expected that studies aimed at developing the mental training skills of athletes will have a positive impact on both sports performance and the psychological state of athletes. Keywords: Mental Training, Mental Skills, Struggle and Concern in Sports, Athlete Self-Efficacy.
