Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to develop a scale that aims to determine psychological well-being in sports and to conduct validity and reliability studies. A total of 719 students (449 male, 270 female) participated in the current study. After expert opinion of the created item pool, 65 items were made ready for analysis. Exploratory factor analysis was applied to the draft scale and the obtained structure was verified by confirmatory factor analysis. Test-retest method and internal consistency analysis were applied to the verified structure. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis applied to the draft scale, a measurement structure consisting of 3 factors and 31 items was obtained. This structure was tested with confirmatory factor analysis and the final scale became a 3-factor, 23-item structure. The reliability of the scale was examined with test-retest method and internal consistency analysis. The analyses showed that Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficients were between 0.933 and 0.974. Conclusion: It was determined that the current scale is a reliable measurement tool in terms of scope and construct validity. Keywords: Sports, Well-being, Psychology
