Investigate the role of club climate in increasing the sport performance

Ill SUMMARY The purpose of the study is to investigate the role of club climate in increasing the sports and performance and the present scientific approaches to the clubs and to enlighten them in this way. The study is composed of five sections including Introduction, Theoretical, explanations, methodology, Findings and Result and Discussion. The frame of the study consists of 28 teams participating in the second league, second group and the third league, sixth group of the Turkish league during 2000-2001 football season the sample is composed of the on teams participating in the groups we determined. In this study, data were analyzed via the organized climate Inquiry (Benjamin Schender and De Cotis) modified by the PhD students in the field of sports psychology. Data were analyzed by using SPSS Version 8.0 statistics program. For the validity and reliability Alpha (Cronbach) method, to determine the correlation Bivariate Spearman rho method, to determine the differences among means one way ANOVA test methods were used. In the result and discussion section, the findings obtained were discussed and personal suggestions were offered. The important findings obtained from the study, in which we investigated the effect of club climate on performance, can be summarized as follows: There is not a statistical significance between the performance of teams and the club climate (confidence, perception, communication, punishment-reward). However, we can say that there are significant relationships among the variables forming the club climate, except for the variable "punishment-reward".
