Analysis of Hursoz newspaper in terms of sports news (1955 – 1985)(Index-selected texts)

The aim of the study is to make analysis, index and analysis of the newspaper Hürsöz, Sports News, which has an important place in the history of Erzurum press and publication. Although this study is qualitative research, the scanning model and historical research method used in historical studies were used. Published between 1955 and 1985, 1-9066. their numbers were examined and the results were classified as "Sports News in Chronological Order, Sports News By Topic, Sports News by Author, and Sports News by Sample News". As a result of the research, 3781 sports news was identified in 2332 numbers. A large part of these news, shooting, equestrian sports, athletics, basketball, cycling, boxing, mountaineering, folklore, football, trip-travel, wrestling, judo, skiing, table tennis, bike, parachuting, rally, skating (ice skating), pentathlon, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball and swimming are full. Sports News on Erzurum is usually focused on athletics, basketball, boxing, equestrian javelin, football, wrestling, skiing and volleyball. Apart from unsigned Sports News, There are many articles written on Erzurum sports issues and voiced by 31 different sports writers. Ziya Çilingiroğlu, who is listed alphabetically and is one of the pioneer and veteran names in Erzurum sports affairs, stands out as one of the most important of these writers. " Sports in Erzurum, Achievements of Athletes, May 19 in Erzurum, Facilities in Erzurum, International Competitions, An Important Sports Travel, Sport Toto and Campaign to Help Erzurumspor " 35 sports news was presented to readers as a full text by the author of the dissertation. The inventory obtained by this study gives a collective perspective to the sports movements held in Erzurum between 1955 and 1985, but is important in terms of giving sports branches and sports development that the people of Erzurum are interested in. The construction of sports facilities in Erzurum, in addition to the achievements of prominent athletes and clubs, has enabled the detection of sports people serving the sports movements of Erzurum. Our first and exemplary research will lead to subsequent studies. One of the most important aspects and contributions of this research is that it allows researchers who want to study Erzurum sports activities to access information very quickly and easily without losing time and space. These and similar studies will occupy an important place in revealing the history of Erzurum sports from the past to the present.
