Abstract (EN)
HF communications are being used as an alternative to satellite and wired communications in the context of secure communications especially in military applications. Research development activities about data communications with HFtechnology intensified in the last two decadesNATO has published standards for data communication in HF frequency, and has described suitable waveforms. Some of the standards include STANAG 4538, STANAG 4285, STANAG 4197 (used in secure communications), STANAG 5066 and STANAG 4539. Standards have different properties. In this study STANAG4539 was implemented in software. STANAG 4539 can provide data rate between 3200 and 9600 bps in case of coded and 12800 bps for uncoded transmission. Detailed simulation results show that the software receiver designed in this study satisfied the requirements described in the STANAG 4539 standard.
