A comparative investigation on standart logic and deviant logics

The focus of the study is to examine how serious the criticisms brought to the standard logic in the philosophy of logic debates and to examine the ideas advocated by deviant logics and to make a comparison between these systems. Although the standard logic or classical logic has been developed since Aristotle, many new logical system ideas have been put forward against standard logic in the 20th century. It is one of the main subjects of this study to examine the criticisms brought by these new systems to standard logic and to understand their reasons. Examining the deviant logics and understanding the philosophy of these systems is the most important starting point of this thesis. It is desired to analyze how sound and valid these new logic systems are, and also to examine whether these systems can replace standard logic. For this purpose, general information about the rules and principles of standard logic has been given and the standard logic system has been tried to be explained. Then, the deviant logics were examined one by one and information was given about their philosophical foundations. The main purpose of this study is to provide information about the philosophy of logic debates around the world, to introduce these discussions to the philosophy literature in Turkey, and to be a source for new studies in the field of philosophy of logic.
