Abstract (EN)

The increase in technological advances digitalizes communication and therefore makes it faster. Typography, which has an important place in visual communication, is another means of expression in graphic design, which helps to transfer and interpret the message conveyed to the target audience. Apart from conveying a message with letters and numbers, it also makes an impact on the target audience with its formal structure and presence. Today, apart from its legibility and other functional features, it is seen that deconstructionist and experimental approaches has made typography a means of expression. The legibility and simplicity approach in typographic design has dynamized the static formal structure of letters, which helps it conveys messages with a different language. Apart from the legibility and functionality, it can also convey the message visually with its formal structure. This research tries a new typographic expression by interpreting the typefaces and their formal structures. The book cover designs discussed in the study try to reflect the three-dimensionality effect on two-dimensional planes and the unique expression styles in typography through typefaces.
