Abstract (EN)
STEM handling Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as a whole is an extremely new and up to date program that enables the development of STEM literacy and 21st century skills through competition among people with an interdisciplinary approach. This research was carried out at the Children's University in Inonu University's Center of Excellence Research and Application. Gifted young students in secondary schools affiliated to the Malatya Provincial Directorate of National Education will be given the opportunity to participate in the seminar of the 2017-2018 education year with the participation of the "Young Engineers Brains with STEM", supported by the protect code of SCD-2018-738 by Inonu University Scientific Research Coordination Unit (BAP) protect and activities based on the STEM approach. Today, there is a need for research that is designed to standardize STEM training, which is becoming increasingly prevalent and widespread. These studies should draw the boundaries of the most accurate STEM applications.Studies related to Medicine, which is a different format application of STEM, were also examined by using the STEM-Medicine (STEMM) approach, which included STEM and the students' opinions on STEM were determined. Mixed Method was used in the research. From the quantitative research approach of the design of the study, a single group pre - test and post - test forms experimental design. In the research "The Attitude Scale of Secondary School Students Against STEM" adapted to Turkish by Yıldırım and Selvi (2015) and, "Information Acquisition Books" and "Product Development Books", which was developed by Corlu (2017) and organized by us, and Student Diaries and Personal Information Form were used as a data collection tool. The activities continued for one week and the quantitative data obtained were assessed at a significance level of 0.05 across the SPSS package program.Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. As a result of the research, it was determined that the students had very positive opinions about STEM and STEM-Medicine based activities based on the STEM approach contributed positively to the students' attitudes towards STEM components. It is considered that will contribute to the literature as a guiding example in terms of realizing the research by applying the STEM-Medicine approach, determining the attitudes towards STEM and demonstrating its applicability in different formats.
