Dropshipping agreement

The subject of our study is dropshipping agreements. Dropshipping contracts inherently involve a three-way legal relationship between buyer, seller, and supplier. In dropshipping contracts, the seller (dropshipper) usually acts for the purpose of resale. In such a case, Once the supplier and seller establish a commercial sales contract, any transaction between them is purely business-related. However, for the buyer who placed the order, the transaction is considered a consumer transaction. Dropshipping contracts are similar in doctrine to third party contracts, money orders and similar contract types. Drop shipping is one of the types of electronic and distance contracts, which is a just-in- time supply contract and imposes debts on both parties. Drop shipping agreements are made up of two distinct contracts. The first contract is between the supplier and the seller, while the second is between the seller and the buyer or consumer. Although these agreements are independent of each other, they should not be treated separately. Due to this reason, each contract has its own distinct provisions regarding the parties involved in the agreement, how the contract is established, the applicable law, and how the contract can be terminated.
