Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, companies have to select to grow and merge in order to survive as a result of increasing competition. Merging requires economical and legal unity and also merging of assets of two companies. Strategical merging is a long, hard and tiring process in which two corporate cultures become a new one. In order to complete this process without any problem, human resources management has to performed completely.This thesis is a case study in order to measure the efficiency of human resource management in the strategic merging process between Anadolu Finans and Family Finans under a new company namely Türkiye Finans in 2005. 4 Hypotheses claimed in the thesis are statistically proved. Statistical analyses are performed in SPSS software using the answers of questionanaire including 20 questions and filled by 424 people who experienced the merging process. Also interview with HR manager became very helpful to collect data. Cronbach Alpha test is used to test the reliability of questionnaire. Bivariate Correlation test is performed to test the coherency of questions. In order to test the relation between work experience, age, sex, title with the answers, Independent Samples T-Test and One-Way Anova tests are given. Moreover, Crosstab analysis is performed to analyze each question in detail.As a result of the study, it is observed that employees evaluate Human Resource Management as succesful in the merging process. Also it is statistically proved that answers are varying significantly based on work experience, age, sex and title.
