Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of the thesis study is to examine the relationship between strategic and transformational leadership and employee performance through employees in the health sector. In the first part of the study leadership, strategy, strategic leadership and transformational leadership; in the second part individual performance; in the third part field research is included. The field survey was conducted through health workers working in the province of Malatya. In the field research, questionnaire forms were used as data collection tools and the relationship of the variables with each other was analyzed through structural equation model. There are some reasons why the study is carried out in health organizations. The highlights of these reasons are; The role of health organizations in human life, the high number of employees in these organizations, the high level of health expenditures in our country and the increasing need to meet the health needs of the growing population. In addition, there were no studies on the individual performance of both types of leadership in the literature review. It is thought that the study will contribute to the literature due to the issues mentioned. As a result of the statistical analysis, it was observed that the relationship between strategic and transformational leadership and employee performance was positive and weak. This situation is interpreted as noting that both types of leadership alone are not sufficient to increase the performance of health workers and that radical reforms should be made to improve the current situation.
