The effect of organizational innovation and organizational agility on firm performance through dynamic capabilities in terms of strategic competition: A study in the manufacturing industry sector

Today, surviving in business life and continuing to be permanent requires strategic thinking and behavior. Change and transformation touch every cell of living spaces in a global sense. For this reason, adapting to these elements has become inevitable for the sustainability of businesses. In the study; In the framework of resource-based theory, while examining the effect of organizational innovation and organizational agility on firm performance in terms of strategic competition, the mediating role of dynamic talents in this effect has been investigated. The research was applied to middle and senior managers in the manufacturing industry sector. With the study, it is aimed to contribute to the field and to gain a different perspective by analyzing the concepts of organizational innovation, organizational agility and dynamic capabilities that businesses have in the field of intense competition today as a whole and investigating their effect on firm performance. For this purpose, the questionnaire study, which was created by making use of national and international literature, was answered by middle and senior managers working in 460 manufacturing industry companies in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) first 500 and second 500 lists. Obtained results; It has been found that organizational innovation has a significant effect on firm performance, while organizational agility has a very high effect on firm performance. In the study, it was determined that dynamic capabilities did not have a mediating role. Based on the information obtained in the light of national and international literature studies, the concepts examined in the study were supported by the field study and it was thought that these results would contribute to managers and practitioners.
