Information technology strategic as a tool for compatitive advantage, it's effect on business performance a research on Konya hotels

In order to ensure an effective working life and sustain competitive advantage in the process of globalization, businesses try to adapt to their local environment by improving a high-performance labor organization. So, they can manage this through a comprehensive information technology. The main objective of the present study is to reveal the impact of information technology used as a tool for competitive advantage on business performance. Tourism Management Certificate 3, 4 and 5 stars hotel establishments and relationship between performance of the business and the use of information technology within the scope of Performance cuboid six key dimensions examined. In the light of the data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Tourism Management certified 16 hotel business were included in the study. In this study, a qualitative research method is used. The data for this study 3, 4 and 5 star hotels businesses in Konya have been obtained as a result of face to face interviews with senior managers. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. Results of this research has showed that information technology used in hotel establishments improved business performance. In addition, information technologies provides a competitive advantage and it is conducted that information technologies used in enterprises increase operating performance, stakeholder satisfaction, stakeholder contribution, strategies, processes and competencies.Key words: Konya Tourism, Competitive Advantage, Information Technology, Performance, Performance Prism
