Abstract (EN)
While stress, which is an important concept for employees, is defined as 'mental tension' in dictionary; stress sources are defined as causative agents. Stress coping is the cognitive and behavioral efforts of the individual to adapt and balance the stress factors that arise from the individual's self or environment. Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability to be aware of our own people or our own emotions, provide individual motivation, and to manage the individual's relationships. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between stress sources and emotional intelligence and coping to with stress. The universe of study is composed of health workers and civil servants. The sample of the study consisted of 158 employees working in three public institutions in Bingöl and 94 individuals working in various institutions receiving questionnaires on the internet. Participants Stress Resources Scale, Emotional Intelligence Scale (TEIQUE-SF) Short Form and Stress Relief Styles Questionnaire form was filled in a single session for 10-20 minutes depending on the participant's speeds. According to findings, self-control, optimistic approach with the stress sources of the task; the subordinate approach with the stress sources of the authority structure; optimistic approach with the stress sources of the authority structure; optimistic approach with the sources of stress of the production structure; clustering stress sources and obedient approach; optimistic approach with clustering stress sources; it has been found that there is a mediating role between the stress sources of culture structure and the submissive approach. On the other hand, emotionality, the sources of stress on the authority structure and the obedient approach; seeking social support with the stress resources of the authority structure; seeking social support through the production of stress sources; clustering stress sources and obedient approach; the sources of stress for culture and submissive approach; it has been found that there is a mediating role between the sources of stress of cultural structure and social support search. If it is good, it is determined that there is a mediating role between stress sources for duty and optimistic approach. According to the result of the research, it can be said that when emotional intelligence decreases in employees, it is avoided without coping with stress, when emotional intelligence increases, problems that are caused by stress are solved and the problem is solved and stress is coped with. Findings obtained as a result of the research are discussed in the light of relevant literature.
