Abstract (EN)
A great number of different combat management systems are integrated to today's surface combatant ships according to the type of warfare that ships have to handle. Surface guns, stabilized machine guns, various guided missiles, decoys and their associated sensors exemplify such kind of systems. Interfaces employed in order to integrate any device to the structure of a ship are known as foundations in the shipbuilding industry, design of foundations with regard to the warfare systems exhibit several differences compared to the systems and devices intended to be used for civil purposes. These differences are resulting from a set of criteria required to be provided during integration in order for the system to operate in the correct way on the part of the applicable standard/norm and warfare system manufacturer. In this thesis study, attempts have been made to explain approaches that may be applicable to the design process of warfare foundations, determination of exerted forces, strength and vibration analyses in regard to surface combatant ships and foundation design for a typical surface gun, semi-structural strength analysis and modal analysis have been carried out and reported for a typical fast patrol boat that was designed to be used in this thesis in accordance with the BV-1040 standard (Strenght Calculation Spesification for Ships of German Federal Army This application has been carried out employing ANSYS 14 software which utilizes theory of "Finite Element Methods", and basic information with regard to the use of this software package intensively employed in the shipbuilding industry and theory of finite element methods have been also included in the contents of thesis. You can see that, if you evaluate the thesis study as a whole, basic information in regard to finite element analysis was introduced and, then, application examples of finite element method and ANSYS software package in the shipbuilding industry have been included, and that processes and flow charts in regard to the design and analyses of foundations for warfare systems have been introduced, and a sample analysis has been performed. In this regard, I hope, such thesis study will be a supplementary reference work for the engineers involved in the structural design of combatant ships.
