Abstract (EN)
This thesis study was carried out between 2022 and 2024 on the 4-year-old Royal Tiago cherry variety, grafted on Maxma 14 rootstock located in Karayusuflu village, in the greenhouse located on the land of Çukurova University Department of Horticulture, planted at 4x2m distances and pruned in the central leader pruning system. The cold accumulation of the trial areas was calculated with two different methods, standard and cold unit, and no significant difference was detected between the regions. In addition, the cold accumulation for the 2022-2023 period was calculated as 460 hours according to the standard method and 202 units according to the cold unit method. During this period, due to insufficient cold accumulation, crops could not be obtained both under cover and in the open. For this reason, a rest period (Levante) has been implemented for the 2023-2024 period. Despite the application of dormancy inhibitor to the Royal Lynn variety, it could not survive the chilling and no flowering or fruit set was detected. For this reason, only data for the Riyal Tioga variety are presented. The cold accumulation in this period was calculated as 467 hours and 280 units. The resting blocker application was made approximately 30 days before the resting period. During this period, phenological observations, studies on pollination biology (Flower dust viability and production amount, multiple fruit formation rate (%) and pomological analyzes were carried out. While the yield of trees with dormant cutter application was 3.7 kg / tree under cover, 3.5 kg / tree in the open, In terms of pomological properties, the fruit weight of the trees without treatment (control) was 9.2-7.9 g, respectively. No significant difference was found in terms of coloration. It was determined that the rate of multiple fruit formation was 33% under cover, while it was 16.1% in the open. However, it was observed that 10 days earliness was achieved under cover.
